Privacy Policy

AI Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SecureVault mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Information Collection and Use
SecureVault is designed as an offline-first, locally encrypted application.
- Your Encrypted Documents: All documents, scanned images, and files you import or scan using the App are stored strictly on your local device. They are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption. We do not have access to, collect, or store your documents, files, or master passwords on any external servers.
- Google Drive Sync (Optional): If you choose to enable the Google Drive backup feature, the App will request access to your Google Drive account. This access is used solely to upload and sync your encrypted backup files to your own personal Google Drive storage. We do not receive, store, or monitor your Google account credentials or any files stored in your Google Drive.
2. Device Permissions
To provide its core functions, the App requests the following device permissions:
- Camera: Required to capture and scan physical documents directly within the App. All image processing (cropping, flattening, and enhancement) is done locally on your device.
- Storage/Media Access: Required if you choose to import existing documents or files from your device’s local storage into the encrypted vault.
- Biometrics (Optional): Used locally to authenticate and unlock the vault using your device’s secure biometric system (e.g., fingerprint or face unlock). Your biometric data is handled by the Android operating system and is never accessed or stored by the App.
3. Third-Party Services
The App may utilize third-party SDKs for security and functionality:
- Firebase Services (App Check & Recaptcha): Used to verify the integrity of the application and protect against abuse or automated attacks.
- Google Play Billing: Used if you make any in-app purchases or subscriptions. Payment transactions are processed directly and securely through the Google Play Store.
These services may collect certain device-specific information (such as hardware model, OS version, or unique device identifiers) in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- Your files are protected on-device with AES-256-GCM encryption.
- Decrypted files are processed in-memory and are not written to unencrypted temporary storage.
- An auto-lock mechanism automatically locks the vault and wipes decryption keys from memory after a period of inactivity.
Note: Because your files are encrypted with a Master Password that is only stored locally on your device, we cannot recover your files or reset your password if you forget it.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
